Yohji Yamamoto presented his Spring Summer 2021 collection on Friday, July 10th, alongside Paris Fashion Week’s digital outing. The collection follows brand’s DNA by using deconstructed and oversized shapes, different layers and fabrics.
Soldiers uniforms for a Yohji army fighting the current world in crises. Global warming, social movements, sanitary emergencies, animal protection. The collection is accompanied by art video directed by Japanese photographer Takay, that shows in motion models trough a dark and poetic atmosphere. Yohji appears himself at the end of the video with the word Fragile written on the coat – his statement on our today’s world.
