MSGM for the fall winter 2021 season goes fully into what defines the coldest day of winter. Giorgetti taken by his time in Italian Alps has shaped the next winter’s collection. The collection is entitled “Vertigine” the Italian word for Vertigo. “A word which captures the dizzy sensation high altitudes can induce; but it was also chosen by Giorgetti as a metaphor for what we’ve been experiencing in our quarantined circumstances—an unsettling feel of being at a loss, almost to the point of falling off-balance,” shares MSGM

The new MSGM collections considers the alpine references in an everyday manner, nevertheless, the outfits prove much more versatile. Giorgetti and his team through their focus on outwear for the season stay true to what MSGM truly is, a fun and fresh way to shape the trends to come. As MSGM is so identifiable, it will be interesting to see how far the Alpine theme is to stretch into the coming season as well as the upcoming womenswear collection.

For Italian brands surely an Alpine inspiration is nothing we are to learn for the first time. Still the fact that the digital runway made us think of a snow week or so ago in Milan, shows MSGM’s connection with what surrounds us. Yet as for many brands the tumultuous 2020 has tighten the ropes giving less space for experimentation. But really, as Massimo Giorgetti sent out his men’s fall winter 2021 collection through an (artificial blizzard) the progression of the brand shows a more defined route. While monochrome looks prevail, MSGM’s alpine explorers are also venturing in a number of pieces into graphic mixing and layering.

While the fun and fresh way of looking into fashion just sits as MSGM’s way of being, the fall winter collection shows the brand pushing beyond Alpine wear. While not the focus of the collection the suited up looks have revised how we would predict the future to appear only a decade ago.
MSGM Fall Winter 2021 collection was comprised of over thirty looks, ready to stop out of the runway in the cold winter days.

Giorgetti who launched MSGM in 2009 has come a long way in what might seem impossible but already is over a decade of this youthful brand reshaping the Milanese fashion scene. The brand launch was work of Massimo and his close friends, and is named after the initials of his ane their names – Massimo, Simone, Gaia and Maurizio. To celebrate the past decade MSGM and Giorgietti have also curated a book with the world renowned publisher Rizzoli, the MSGM 10!, scheduled for release on February 23rd this year.
