London based menswear brand DANSHAN unveiled its Spring Summer 2023 collection with a lookbook lensed by fashion photographer Elena Cremona. In charge of grooming was beauty artist Violet Zeng. Stars of the session are models Ai Zheng Rui and Zaki. The collection explores the importance of acceptance, and the ability to be able to face challenges in life with ease. The same day designer Danxia Liu welcomed baby girl in February 2022, designer Shan Peng Wong received the news his grandmother had passed away. Following Ancient Chinese tradition, Shan mourned for 100 days in memory of his grandmother, wearing only black and white. This became the color palette for the collection. Shan’s earliest memories of his grandmother’s home inspired the collection’s embroidery pattern.

“Danshan continue to develop different ways of layering unconventional combinations of fabrics on each individual piece; chino with satin, velvet with lace, heavy woven textile with organza, and georgette with mesh. Majority of the material are biodegradable and also using deadstock fabric which is sustainable.
