SPRING SUMMER 2024 COLLECTIONS
The collection explores a design language that challenges traditional notions of gender, seamlessly blending elements of street style and high fashion. Pluralism and depth become integral to the garments, reflecting the complex and diverse essence of the Giantess herself. The enigmatic presence of the Giantess is brought to life through innovative and boundary-pushing designs, where the lines between masculine and feminine aesthetics are blurred. Continuing their exploration of female strength and empowerment, the collection showcases a collaboration with artist Amanda Ba, whose contemporary illustrations of the Giantess and the Pitbull take center stage, displayed through various textile techniques such as mesh prints and laser-printed denim. Inspired by the traditional Chinese weapon known as the “meteor hammer” featured in their Autumn/Winter 2021 show, SANKUANZ introduces “cherry bomb” purses. These mini rigid spherical spiked purses, suspended from leather straps, resemble their explosive namesake. The “cherry bombs” also make appearances as graphics on garments and as embellishments on the Dagger Cowboy Boots, which include upcycled vintage cowboy boots.
