The Fall Winter 2024 Collection by Rokh, guided by the creative vision of Rok Hwang, takes inspiration from the contrasting artistic currents of the High Renaissance and Romanticism. This encourages a conversation between the old and the new, as well as a fusion of elegance and rebellion. The collection serves as a tribute to the allure of contrasts, encouraging individuals to embrace their contradictions and discover harmony in diversity.
FALL WINTER 2024.25 WOMENSWEAR
Inspired by the High Renaissance’s focus on classical forms and the Romantic period’s emphasis on emotion and individualism, the Rokh Fall Winter 2024 Collection balances these influences in each piece. The collection honors the concept of perfect imperfections, combining beautifully hand-draped forms with unconventional avant-garde tailoring to forge a cohesive new language from these varied elements.
Rok Hwang takes elements from different eras, blending classic Victorian symbols, heritage tailoring, and prints that recall British 20th-century domesticity with mid-century lace, tied-on bustles, vintage denims, veils, and velvet dévoré dresses. This blend of past and present is designed to lay the foundation for a modern wardrobe that reinterprets and reimagines Rokh’s DNA.
The collection showcases garments undergoing transformations, with overcoats turning into jackets and trench coats merging with formal coats through innovative pattern cutting and hand draping techniques. These pieces, infused with sartorial heritage tailoring, display Rokh’s dedication to exploring fashion’s boundaries while paying homage to enduring traditions.
Marking a collaboration, Rokh and PHILEO present a line of footwear that reflects their mutual passion for reinterpreting classics. The collaboration features two shoe designs: a ballerina with a ‘puffy’ tongue featuring Rokh’s signature staple belt embellishment, and a reimagined PHILEO Derby characterized by a notched front, lending a military vibe contrasting with the ballerina’s slender shape. Available in sizes 36 through 45 and in three colorways selected by Rok Hwang – Tofu, Shitake, and Black, these shoes embody the collection’s principles, fusing classic aesthetics with contemporary flair.
rokh does always such a good job but I am not sure if there is any story behind this collection seems like it’s a best off some sort of his style 😭
