MM6 Maison Margiela and Dr. Martens have unveiled their first capsule collection for Autumn Winter 2024, marking a fusion of creative philosophies from two iconic brands.

This partnership brings together Dr. Martens’ quintessential British footwear legacy with the cutting-edge, avant-garde style of MM6 Maison Margiela, redefining classic silhouettes with unorthodox new forms.

The collaboration, born from a shared ambition to challenge and reinterpret traditional designs, features a series of hybrid silhouettes that merge distinct design languages into a singular artistic statement. The collection debuted as part of MM6 Maison Margiela’s AW24 show, offering a fresh take on some of Dr. Martens’ most beloved designs.

Key highlights from the collection include:

The 1460 / 1461 Boot: A daring combination of the Original 1460 8-eye boot and the 1461 3-eye shoe, this hybrid pairs oxblood Vintage Smooth leather with black Virginia leather, accented by a steel toe and Puritan chain stitch for a striking contrast in both color and texture.

The 1490 / 1461 Boot: This design extends the 1490 10-eye boot with a bump toe version of the 1461 shoe, enhancing the silhouette’s curvature and crafted in a sophisticated black-on-black color scheme of contrasting leathers.

The 1461 / Penton Shoe: Merging the traditional 1461 shoe with the Penton loafer, this creation features black Vintage Smooth leather with a touch of oxblood, marrying subtlety with innovation.

Each piece in the collection is finished with Dr. Martens’ iconic AirWair heel loop and yellow welt stitch, and branded with the MM6 numeric logo, showcasing the unique identity of the collaboration. Set on the classic DMS soles, these boots promise durability and style, true to the spirit of both brands.

The MM6 Maison Margiela x Dr. Martens collection will be available from November 19th on the e-commerce sites of both brands, as well as in selected MM6 Maison Margiela and Dr. Martens stores, and at select multi-brand retailers worldwide.

Prices are set at USD $320 (GBP £320, EUR €350) for both the 1460 / 1461 and 1490 / 1461 boots, and USD $290 (GBP £290, EUR €320) for the 1461 / Penton shoe, making them an accessible luxury for fashion enthusiasts eager to make a statement this winter season.
