The roof spoiler and aerodynamic panels at the rear further contribute to its efficiency, while the quattro blisters and wide track create a balanced and athletic stance. The A6 Avant brings an updated MHEV plus mild hybrid system, designed to boost power while improving fuel efficiency. The lineup includes a 2.0-liter TDI four-cylinder producing 150 kW, as well as a 3.0-liter TFSI six-cylinder generating 270 kW. These powertrains rely on a 48-volt battery, a belt alternator starter (BAS), and a powertrain generator (PTG) to optimize performance. The PTG allows for fully electric maneuvering in parking scenarios and assists the engine during acceleration, offering up to 230 Newton meters of torque and 18 kW (24 PS) of power. It also captures up to 25 kW of energy during deceleration, further increasing efficiency.
Drivers can rely on adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering to enhance the overall experience. The quattro sport differential provides greater agility, while progressive steering offers precise control. A stiffer torsion bar, bolted steering rack, and refined control arm bushings improve responsiveness, ensuring the A6 Avant handles with precision. Audi increases camber on the front axle, delivering better cornering stability. At lower speeds, all-wheel steering turns the rear wheels up to five degrees in the opposite direction of the front wheels, reducing the turning radius. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front, improving stability and control.
The cabin of the A6 Avant provides an advanced digital experience with an Audi MMI panoramic display and a separate screen for the front passenger. Personalization plays a key role, particularly in the lighting system, where seven digital light signatures allow drivers to customize the interior and exterior ambiance. Second-generation digital OLED rear lights create a distinctive visual identity while improving road safety.
