Jil Sander and OTB Group have announced the appointment of Simone Bellotti as Creative Director, effective immediately. Bellotti takes the helm at the luxury brand following his tenure as Creative Director at Bally, bringing a refined vision shaped by years of experience in the industry. Following Jil Sander’s Fall Winter 2025 show in Milan this past February, Luke and Lucie Meier stepped down from their roles as co-creative directors after leading the brand since 2017.
Raised in Milan and later immersed in Antwerp’s avant-garde creative scene, Bellotti has built a career defined by precision and innovation. His professional journey spans roles at A.F. Vandervorst, Gianfranco Ferré, Dolce & Gabbana, and Bottega Veneta, with a notable 16-year tenure at Gucci. His approach, steeped in archival research and cross-disciplinary inspiration from art, photography, and music, aligns with Jil Sander’s design philosophy.
Renzo Rosso, Chairman of OTB Group, expressed confidence in the new appointment, stating, “Simone embarks on this journey with extensive experience and a distinct talent. Over the time spent together, we shared the strategic vision and mission for Jil Sander, the values of innovation and sophistication that make it an iconic and unique brand.”
For Bellotti, joining Jil Sander represents an opportunity to build on the house’s legacy. “I am incredibly honored to join Jil Sander, a storied house that created a new aesthetic with its unique approach and strong identity, and that has always had such a significant influence on the design community. I am grateful to Renzo for the trust, and I am keen to contribute to the house’s full potential,” he said.
Founded in 1968 by Jil Sander, the brand has long been synonymous with modernity, precision, and high-quality craftsmanship. Acquired by OTB Group in 2021, it maintains a global presence with around 70 boutiques and an extensive online retail network. Bellotti’s appointment signals a new chapter for the brand, reinforcing its commitment to contemporary elegance and forward-thinking design.
