Presented yesterday in Paris during Couture Fashion Week, RVDK – Ronald Van Der Kemp’s Fall Winter 2025 couture collection is a vibrant, deeply personal tribute to the untamed beauty of nature and the transformative power of craftsmanship. Since founding his house in 2014, Van Der Kemp has championed “circular couture” – one-of-a-kind creations crafted from upcycled and discarded materials, brought to life by the hands of skilled artisans. This season, he answers “The Call of the Wild,” drawing inspiration from the lush Amazon rainforest and its inhabitants, in collaboration with his muse Thayna Caiçara and a collective of indigenous Brazilian artisans.

The Ronald Van Der Kemp collection unfolds as a visual story through the rainforest, with every look echoing the exuberance and diversity of its flora and fauna. Signature RVDK artistry is seen in the Rainforest corset dress, hand-painted, layered, and embroidered with Brazilian birds, while tree sculpture dresses and arts-and-crafts coats burst with vintage trimmings, feathers, and found objects. Each piece is a wearable work of art, blending sustainability with fantasy: velvet corset jackets are adorned with 3D embroidered birds, while sculptural tulle mesh gowns swirl with hand-beaded motifs and silk gazar waves evoke the Amazon River.

Van Der Kemp’s dedication to collaboration and craft is evident throughout: handwoven jackets, intricate knitwear patches, and denim detailed with embroidered birds and weed plants. Accessories, ranging from Thayná Caiçara’s fine jewelry to resin-dipped flower ear-clips and feathered hats, underscore the collection’s celebration of nature and human creativity.
Highlights of Ronald Van Der Kemp collection include:
- A graphic halter jumpsuit with beaded wings and feathered neck trim, and a mini corset dress assembled from animal and bird-inspired art collages.
- Hand loomed and tasseled cardigans, silk mikado bloomer pants, and collage print linings.
- Evening gowns in mixed jacquards, lace, and hand-painted silks, each adorned with birds, river motifs, and vibrant color palettes.

RVDK’s message is clear: hope, diversity, and the beauty of the handmade are worth celebrating, especially in a world where “humanity often falls short.” The Fall -Winter 2025 collection isn’t just fashion, it’s a call to honor nature, embrace sustainable creativity, and recognize the hands and stories behind every garment.
