Sky has released the second official teaser for IT: Welcome to Derry, the upcoming original drama series based on Stephen King’s novel IT. Set to premiere in October on Sky and streaming platform NOW, the series expands the mythology introduced in Andy Muschietti’s film adaptations IT and IT Chapter Two.

Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs developed the series for television. Andy Muschietti, who directed both previous IT films and The Flash, also returns to direct multiple episodes. The new series draws from the original book but creates additional material that builds on the atmosphere and tone of the earlier feature films.
The project brings together a new ensemble cast. Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård appear in key roles. Skarsgård returns to the franchise after portraying Pennywise in the previous two films, though details of his role in this series have not yet been confirmed in the teaser.
Set within the same fictional town of Derry, Maine, the series revisits themes that defined King’s novel and the previous films. The town’s disturbing history and recurring cycles of horror remain central. The teaser gives a glimpse of the atmosphere, though it keeps most narrative details under wraps.
Jason Fuchs, who also contributed to IT Chapter Two and Wonder Woman, wrote the teleplay for the first episode. He shares co-showrunner duties with Brad Caleb Kane. Andy and Barbara Muschietti produce through their Double Dream banner, while Fuchs produces under his FiveTen company. Additional executive producers include David Coatsworth, Bill Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin.
With the October launch on both Sky and NOW, the project joins a lineup of fall originals while returning audiences to one of King’s most unsettling fictional towns. Sky continues its expansion of original drama with this addition. The show arrives at a time when long-form horror projects continue to gain traction across streaming platforms.
