Marc Jacobs introduces a new silhouette for Fall 2025 with the release of the 72 Spring Sneaker. The sneaker draws on vintage sportswear references and brings that influence into a contemporary footwear model with four distinct material treatments. The shoe anchors the Fall 2025 collection with its mix of texture, function, and casual style designed for everyday wear.

The mesh edition of the 72 Spring Sneaker leads the lineup. Its upper combines breathable mesh with suede inserts, creating contrast through layering and tone. Available in white, raspberry pink multi, daisy yellow multi, and black, the sneaker relies on a low-profile frame that stays close to classic athletic shoes from the 1970s. The mesh construction allows for airflow while the suede adds structure. Underfoot, a custom dual-density foam insole supports the step, with an 8mm closure and 10mm heel creating a clean line from toe to heel.
For those drawn to tonal finishes, the suede version of the sneaker refines the silhouette through a single-material upper. The soft suede adds a matte surface with consistent texture throughout the design. While the structure remains the same, the suede variant creates a quieter look that contrasts with the more casual energy of the mesh style. Comfort features stay identical, including the dual-density insole and rubber sole.
The stitched sneaker introduces contrast through technique rather than material. Faux leather forms the base of the shoe, with visible stitched detailing running throughout the upper. The design opts for a polished surface finish paired with controlled lines. This version maintains the overall silhouette but elevates it through subtle embellishment. Like the other models, it keeps the same heel height, closure system, and foam construction.
The denim edition offers the most casual interpretation. Made from distressed and frayed denim, it references DIY culture and classic Americana through its worn-in finish. The raw edges and visible grain of the fabric push the silhouette into everyday wear while keeping the shape and support features intact. The design brings visual depth without adding extra weight or bulk.
Each of the four sneaker styles retains the foundational structure of the 72 Spring model, anchored by a rubber sole and the brand’s custom insole. The consistent use of the 8mm closure and 10mm heel creates a stable profile throughout. While the materials shift from mesh to suede to denim, the sneaker maintains a design language that connects retro references to Marc Jacobs’ seasonal direction.

With this release, Marc Jacobs brings a new sneaker into rotation for Fall 2025. The 72 Spring Sneaker introduces distinct material directions—each one crafted to offer texture, comfort, and ease of wear. From stitched faux leather to frayed denim, the model arrives with four finishes aimed at varying preferences, grounded in the same silhouette and performance-focused insole.
