Photographer Melissa Isabel Quiñones captures Moon Choi for the latest DSCENE STYLE STORIES editorial, leading a mixed-media approach that redefines the styling process through illustration, photography, and digital construction. She photographs Choi in a minimal base look, supported by hair from Takayuki Umeda using Oribe and makeup by Michael Chua using Haus Labs, before reshaping each frame through hand-drawn garments integrated in post-production.
DSCENE EXCLUSIVES
Stylist Christian Ramirez expands the imagery through original illustration-based looks created specifically for this series. His hand-drawn garments act as the clothing, forming silhouettes that develop in post-production rather than on set. Melissa and Christian build a surreal narrative in which styling shifts into an act of invention. Each image forms its own visual space shaped by Christian’s illustrated designs and the precision of Melissa’s photographic framework. The story pushes past the limits of physical wardrobe and uses mixed media to explore new ways of expressing identity within editorial image-making.
