Y-3 opens the Spring Summer 2026 season with Chapter 1 of its new collection, arriving December 1. The release continues the exchange between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, expressed through a design direction that favors experimentation, structure, and uniform-inspired forms. The brand reinforces this approach through a lookbook photographed by long-time collaborator Oscar Foster Kayne, who creates visuals that lean into sharp contrasts of softness and intensity to match the line’s attitude.
SPORTSWEAR
The collection focuses on monochromatic design, using cut, volume, and material choice to introduce variation. Padded bombers anchor the outerwear, paired with wide, flowing cargo trousers that deliver a sense of movement. Raw edges bring texture to familiar shapes, while uniform silhouettes gain new character through small distortions and construction choices. Several garments feature wired Three Stripes integrated into the build, giving wearers the ability to bend and sculpt the stripes into individualized forms.

Footwear plays a significant role in Chapter 1. The Y-3 GSG9 returns in a rugged form accented with brogue-inspired detailing. The adidas Stan Smith receives a reinterpretation as the Y-3 STAN LOW PRO, which introduces updated proportions and a reworked structure. The Y-3 NIZZASTAR HI, Y-3 TOKYO, and Y-3 REGU LOW appear in monochromatic formats consistent with the apparel direction. Performance ideas also enter the lineup through the Y-3 ADIZERO RC6, which channels running design through a street-oriented lens.

Y-3 released the Spring Summer 2026 Chapter 1 collection on December 1 through adidas.com/y-3, Y-3 stores, and select retail partners. The drop marks the start of a season shaped by tailored experimentation, sculptural detailing, and reinterpretations of key footwear icons.
