Adapted from Rachel Reid’s critically acclaimed Game Changers book series, Heated Rivalry centers on the long-running emotional and professional collision between two elite hockey players. Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams, and Ilya Rozanov, portrayed by Connor Storrie, are among the biggest stars in Major League Hockey. Defined by ambition and rivalry, their relationship begins as a secret encounter between rookies and gradually unfolds into an eight-year journey shaped by desire, denial, and self-recognition.

As their careers progress on the ice, Shane and Ilya struggle to reconcile public success with private truth. The series tracks how their competitive drive complicates intimacy, forcing both men to confront what they are willing to risk for love in a sport that leaves little space for vulnerability. Across multiple seasons of rivalry and reunion, Heated Rivalry examines identity, pressure, and the cost of living divided lives.

The cast also includes François Arnaud, Robbie G.K., Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Sophie Nélisse, and Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova, expanding the series’ world beyond the rink with intersecting personal and professional storylines.

Heated Rivalry is produced by Accent Aigu Entertainment in association with Crave, and distributed internationally by Sphere Abacus. The series was created for Crave by award-winning Canadian writer-director-producer Jacob Tierney, known for his work on Letterkenny and Shoresy.
All episodes of Heated Rivalry will be available to stream on Sky and NOW from January 10, offering viewers the complete arc of Shane and Ilya’s story in one release.
