Carhartt WIP Spring Summer 2026 campaign opens in the moment after winter loosens its grip, when perception sharpens and the body adjusts to longer days. Shot by Hugo Campan, the campaign centers on that early phase of change, when light feels unfamiliar and movement resumes before certainty sets in. The season arrives with focus on sensation, tracing how atmosphere, sound, and physical presence respond to the passing of winter.

The campaign film unfolds from night into day, following a group of figures who drift through shared spaces with alertness and restraint. Campan frames them in states of wakefulness and pause, as if each step tests the ground ahead. Eyes strain against morning light. A guitar note hesitates, then gathers force, expanding into a resonant drone that shapes the film’s rhythm.

Moments of inward focus sit next to brief surges of momentum. The figures carry traces of contemplation and melancholy while pressing forward with renewed drive. This friction sets the pace of the narrative. The film resists linear progression and instead tracks a gradual build, where winter’s heaviness gives way to sharper presence.

Clothing registers through contact and movement, responding to the body rather than standing apart from it. The film translates seasonal change into touch, posture, and rhythm. The passage from night into day signals readiness, emphasizing continuation over conclusion.

The accompanying stills extend this approach through texture and light. Campan uses shadow and illumination to suggest seasonal shift without staging overt cues. Surfaces absorb and reflect light unevenly, creating images that feel tactile and close. Fabric carries weight. Skin meets fabric. An embrace reads as pressure.

Bodies appear mid-motion or just after it, leaving traces that linger in the frame. An arm withdraws. A figure turns away. These after-images hold attention through what remains. Carhartt WIP Spring Summer 2026 stays focused on the in-between phase where change registers before it stabilizes. Campan shapes the campaign around perception, sound, and touch.
