Gucci Captures Identity in SS26 Eyewear Campaign

Oversized squares and cat-eye shapes appear alongside gold-toned metal pilot frames for the new season.

Gucci reveals its Spring Summer 2026 eyewear collection through a series of close-up portraits. The campaign embraces the raw nature of photography to bring intimacy to the visual narrative. Photographer Blommers & Schumm and Art Director Riccardo Zanola focus on diverse personalities and attitudes to present the new designs.

EYEWEAR

The collection features unique designs that prioritize personal expression. In one portrait, an oversize squared silhouette takes center stage. This frame includes a metallic Gucci logo on the side to identify the brand. Another shot features a cat-eye model made of acetate. For the men’s selection, the campaign presents black squared sunglasses. These frames feature the Gucci logo on a metal plaque encased within the acetate material.

The imagery continues with several shapes of acetate optical frames. These styles combine a modern attitude with the distinctive codes of the House. Blommers & Schumm use the camera to capture the specific personality of each protagonist. The pictures also showcase rimless cat-eye sunglasses. These specific models include gold-toned metal bamboo temples and crystals. Another highlighted style features a gold-toned metal pilot shape with a bamboo top bar.

The campaign uses archival elements and contemporary design to shape the visual story. By focusing on the protagonists, the portraits show how different frames fit various lifestyles. Acetate and metal provide a physical variety within the collection. The use of crystals and bamboo adds specific details to the metallic surfaces.

Gucci positions its optical frames and sunglasses as expressions of varied attitudes. The portraits rely on stripped-back settings to direct attention to the eyewear and the individual wearing it. The collection shifts between retro references and contemporary lines, creating a broad spectrum of silhouettes.

Across the image series, Gucci examines human expression through shape and proportion. Pilot frames and cat-eye designs introduce defined geometric profiles, while oversized models carry stronger visual presence than rimless constructions. Each piece reflects a clear approach to modern design grounded in structure and intent.
