Shakira and Burna Boy have released “Dai Dai,” the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2026, through Sony Music Latin. The track also serves as the official anthem of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, adding a philanthropic purpose to one of the most visible music releases tied to next year’s tournament.

The announcement arrived during Global Citizen NOW in New York, where FIFA and Global Citizen outlined the fund’s goal. The initiative aims to raise 100 million dollars by the end of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to give children around the globe access to quality education and sports. Shakira will donate her royalties from “Dai Dai” to the fund, while Sony Music will match the first 250,000 dollars raised with a donation. Shakira will also donate 1 dollar from every ticket sold to her upcoming Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour.
“Dai Dai” arrives ahead of another major FIFA moment for Shakira. She will co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show on Sunday, July 19, alongside Madonna and BTS. The final will feature a halftime show for the first time in FIFA World Cup history, bringing global music into the closing match of the tournament while supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
Burna Boy described the release through the shared reach of football and music. “The World Cup is one of the few things the entire world experiences together,” he said. “Football and music speak the same language. They bring people together no matter where you’re from and being part of this moment through music means a lot to me.”
For Shakira, the release continues a major year across touring, live performance, and international visibility. This summer, she will return to the United States for a limited run of arena dates on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, offering fans a closer view of the production. In October, she will headline an 11-night stadium residency in Madrid, with a stadium named Shakira Stadium built especially for the run. The residency has already sold more than half a million tickets.
For Burna Boy, “Dai Dai” adds another global collaboration to a career shaped by live performance, music, sport, and African culture on an international scale. His work across arenas, stadiums, the NBA All-Star Game, and major partnerships has placed him among the most visible African artists of his generation. With “Dai Dai,” he enters the FIFA World Cup 2026 conversation through a track built for both the tournament and a global education cause.
