Ziggy Chen presents Ambiepose for Spring Summer 2027, a collection shaped by the traces that time leaves on fabric, color and surface. Light fades, colors soften and garments absorb the memory of wear. The season studies these subtle shifts through atmosphere, intention, perception and purpose, using clothing to examine how lived experience changes material over time.

Ziggy Chen unveiled Ambiepose to the public as part of the official Paris Men’s Fashion Week calendar. The collection reflects a slower pace of living and builds its language through soft cuts, restrained silhouettes and surfaces that carry the marks of use. Chen reduces the silhouette compared with previous seasons, favoring controlled volume, structural discipline and a quieter sense of order.
The garments prioritize comfort and freedom of movement. They avoid rigid contextual limits and aim for everyday use, allowing the wearer to define their place and purpose. Ambiepose treats clothing as something that lives with the body rather than something fixed by occasion.
The garments avoid smoothness and shine, instead recalling pages handled many times. Their surfaces appear faded, matte and marked by natural creases. They suggest use without theatrical aging, turning time into a visible material. Chen continues his interest in rough matte textures with a lived in character, using fabric to hold memory in a direct and tactile way.
Linen, silk and ultra soft cotton jersey form the main materials. Open work construction becomes a key design element and extends across denim and leather. Natural toned linen mesh expands the material language and creates continuity across the collection’s varied surfaces.
The color palette moves across light and dark tones, joined by low saturation and deep layering. The shades evoke colors aged through prolonged wear, with natural linen hues and misty blue grey among the dominant tones. The dirty rain print, which has appeared across several collections, changes this season with the addition of a withered flowers motif.
Ambiepose also considers the relationship between utility and intention. Purpose sits at the subtle threshold where function meets the choices of the designer and the wearer. Chen treats that relationship as ongoing and delicate, allowing garments to carry meaning through use.
