Agua by Agua Bendita and Marchanta are bringing a genuinely different kind of summer destination to the Hamptons. This August, the two brands partner as co-hosts of Marchanta Out East, a month-long luxury retail and cultural experience running August 4 through September 8 at 62 Newton Lane in East Hampton. Rather than a standard pop-up, it’s a carefully assembled gathering of Latin American fashion, fragrance, home, and design, orchestrated by Raylin Díaz, founder and creative director of Marchanta.
What distinguishes this from typical Hamptons retail is the intentionality of the community it brings together. The lineup includes Donde Esteban, Monica Varela, Arthur Vallin, Parme Marin, Aedes de Venustas, Marmotech, and Rhythm Zero, the specialty coffee experience that adds a hospitality layer often missing from seasonal retail. These aren’t random names chosen for prestige. Each maker and design house shares a commitment to Latin American craftsmanship, storytelling, and the kind of contemporary design that transcends trend.
It’s an opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural richness of Latin America while bringing people together throughout the summer season in the Hamptons – Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza
Founded in 2018 by Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza, Agua by Agua Bendita is rooted in more than 20 years of design and entrepreneurship. The brand builds its identity around hand-illustrated botanical prints, intricate embroidery, and timeless resortwear that balances romantic silhouettes with conscious luxury. Everything is designed and made in Colombia, blending artisanal techniques with natural and recycled materials. The collections honor the region’s extraordinary biodiversity while showcasing the skilled artisans whose work lies at the heart of the brand.

Marchanta, founded by Raylin Díaz in the Dominican Republic, takes a different but complementary approach. As the first luxury artisanal and fragrance house of the Caribbean, it creates collectible sculptural objects and fragrances inspired by Caribbean landscapes, memories, and cultural richness. The brand works closely with local artisans while collaborating with renowned fragrance makers in Grasse, France, merging heritage with contemporary design through scent and form.
We share a deep respect for craftsmanship, storytelling, and the extraordinary creative heritage of Latin America. Bringing our communities together in East Hampton is an opportunity to celebrate not only exceptional design, but also the artisans and cultures that inspire everything we create – Raylin Diaz
According to Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza, the partnership runs deeper than retail logistics. “For us, this is about much more than creating a retail experience,” they stated. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural richness of Latin America while bringing people together throughout the summer season in the Hamptons.”

Raylin Díaz echoed this vision, emphasizing the alignment between the two brands: “From the very beginning, Agua by Agua Bendita was the natural partner for this experience. We share a deep respect for craftsmanship, storytelling, and the extraordinary creative heritage of Latin America. Bringing our communities together in East Hampton is an opportunity to celebrate not only exceptional design, but also the artisans and cultures that inspire everything we create.”
The pop-up is designed as a gathering place for design enthusiasts, collectors, and the fashion community. Throughout August, Marchanta Out East will host a series of intimate events and cultural programming, offering visitors the chance to experience Latin American creativity across multiple mediums, from clothing and fragrance to sculptural objects and coffee. If you’re heading East this summer, it’s worth the trip.
