Jordan Brand brings back the Air Jordan 6 Retro Oreo, marking the first release of the black and white colorway since its 2010 debut. The edition retains the defining mix of black nubuck, white leather and speckled details while preserving the signature construction of Michael Jordan‘s championship sneaker from 1991.
SNEAKERS
The upper combines a black nubuck base with contrasting white leather overlays. Black covers the toe, midfoot, tongue and neoprene lace cover, while white leather frames the upper and extends around the collar. Perforations throughout the leather panels provide ventilation and retain a familiar Air Jordan 6 feature.
White laces run through the upper, while Jumpman branding appears on the lace cover and heel. The black and white palette continues through the tongue, collar and rear panels. An icy blue Jumpman on the lace lock introduces a small color accent.
Speckled detailing gives the release its “Oreo” identity. White flecks cover the black spoiler-shaped heel tab and sections of the midsole, recreating one of the original 2010 edition’s most recognizable elements. The raised heel tab also gives wearers an easier grip when putting on the sneaker.
Premium leather and nubuck support the two-tone construction. The sculpted side panels, raised tongue, lace lock and heel spoiler retain the details associated with the Air Jordan 6. The design follows the shape of the model that Michael Jordan wore during the 1990–91 season, when he secured his first NBA championship.
Underfoot, the sneaker uses a lightweight polyurethane midsole with encapsulated Air-Sole cushioning in the forefoot and a visible Air unit in the heel. The setup supports impact protection and responsive comfort. A translucent rubber outsole completes the sneaker and provides durable traction.
The original Air Jordan 6 “Oreo” launched in 2010 and introduced the black nubuck, white leather and speckled sole combination. The 2026 edition brings the colorway back after a 16-year absence and remains close to the design of that first release.
Jordan Brand will release the Air Jordan 6 Retro Oreo on August 8, 2026. The adult edition will cost $215, while big kids’ pairs will cost $155, little kids’ pairs $95 and toddler pairs $80.
