Moncler x Fragment continues its collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara through a new collection that turns toward Japan, mountain environments and Fujiwara’s own design language. Since their first project in 2018, Moncler and Fragment have explored influences across fashion, design, culture and technology. For this chapter, the partnership looks closer to home.

Fujiwara also fronts the campaign, appearing as its main protagonist. He wears a reversible varsity jacket against a clean white setting that keeps the focus on the clothes and their pared-back direction. Selected images introduce a dog inspired by the collection’s puppy motif, while a gondola connects the campaign to the move from urban surroundings toward the mountains.

The collection begins with the vintage Japanese souvenir jacket, a silhouette closely tied to Fujiwara’s personal style. Moncler and Fragment reinterpret it as a reversible design that draws from American varsity jackets and Japanese souvenir styles. An embroidered map traces a route between Japan and Italy, referencing the relationship between the two labels. Moncler will offer this version exclusively through stores in Japan and Milan.

A dégradé check in deep green and black runs throughout the collection. Moncler uses brushed cotton flannel for the pattern, applying it across pieces that support the season’s lightweight approach. Graphic elements include a graffiti-inspired Moncler FRGMT logo and embroidered references to Casa Moncler, the company’s new headquarters in Milan.

The late-August release moves away from heavy insulation. Fujiwara builds the wardrobe around windbreakers, shirt jackets and jerseys without down filling. Zip-up hoodies, T-shirts and trousers extend the range while keeping the focus on practical layering and reduced detailing.

This season also introduces FRGMTmini for the first time. The capsule translates several adult pieces into smaller “Mini Me” versions, including the checked coach jacket, hoodie, sweatpants and puppy-print T-shirt. The addition extends the visual codes of the main collection into a compact selection designed around the same graphics and silhouettes.

Footwear adds another dimension through the Moncler + Clarks Originals + Fragment Trailgrip Wallabee GTX. Earlier this year, Moncler and Clarks Originals developed the Wallabee into a more technical performance model. The design combines a suede upper with a breathable and waterproof GORE-TEX lining and Moncler’s Trailgrip Vibram outsole for grip, comfort and use across different environments.

Fragment now introduces its own version of that design. Fujiwara keeps the recognizable Wallabee upper and pairs it with Moncler’s technical Trailgrip sole. He renders the shoe entirely in black and adds his signature detailing along the side, giving the three-way collaboration a restrained finish consistent with the wider collection.

The Moncler x Fragment by Hiroshi Fujiwara collection is available now through selected Moncler stores and online. The Moncler + Clarks Originals + Fragment Trailgrip Wallabee GTX arrives at the Moncler Ginza store and online on August 29, followed by selected Moncler stores across Japan on September 1.
