OVO and UFC Return With a Fighter-Led 2026 Capsule

Mike Malott fronts the second collaboration between October’s Very Own and UFC, bringing fight culture into OVO’s graphic-heavy sportswear language.

Drake’s October’s Very Own and UFC reconnect for a second apparel collection, extending a partnership that treats mixed martial arts as both sporting culture and visual source material. For 2026, the two names return to hoodies, athletic jerseys, graphic T-shirts and long-sleeve tops, with Canadian UFC welterweight Mike Malott leading the campaign.

SPORTSWEAR

The collection works within territory OVO already knows well. Athletic uniforms, team graphics and fan merchandise have long informed the Toronto label’s collaborations, and UFC gives that language a sharper edge. Rather than recreating technical fight gear, OVO translates the imagery of combat sports into everyday clothing, placing co-branded graphics and fighter references on familiar streetwear silhouettes.

OVO’s owl appears alongside UFC insignia throughout the capsule, while several pieces draw directly from personalities associated with the organization. Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell appears as a major reference, connecting the collection with one of the promotion’s most recognizable figures. The graphics also nod to Hasbulla Magomedov and Islam Makhachev, bringing different generations and corners of UFC culture into the same release.

References to Drake’s ICEMAN era further connect the capsule to OVO’s current visual output. These details keep the collaboration tied to the label’s own cultural ecosystem rather than allowing UFC branding to dominate the project. The result reads as OVO merchandise first, with fight imagery giving the pieces their specific identity.

Malott proves an appropriate campaign choice. The Ontario-born fighter currently competes in UFC’s welterweight division and gives the project a direct Canadian connection, linking OVO’s Toronto origins with a Canadian athlete working inside the sport. His presence also keeps the campaign grounded in UFC itself rather than relying on celebrity association alone.

That matters for a collaboration built around an organization with such a defined visual vocabulary. Fight posters, walkout apparel, championship imagery and oversized sponsor graphics already occupy a recognizable place within popular culture. OVO selectively borrows from that vocabulary and cleans it up for a lifestyle audience, retaining enough aggression to make the source recognizable while keeping the silhouettes consistent with its established wardrobe.

The strongest pieces are likely to be the ones that lean furthest into this exchange. Athletic jerseys naturally suit UFC’s competitive identity, while graphic tees provide room for fighter imagery to carry more of the concept. Hoodies and long sleeves offer the safer end of the range, relying more heavily on recognizable OVO and UFC co-branding.

The UFC x OVO 2026 collection releases Friday, August 21 at 10 a.m. ET. Its strongest idea comes from keeping the distance between fight merchandise and streetwear relatively narrow. OVO does not attempt to redesign UFC culture. It takes its fighters, graphics and mythology and places them inside a wardrobe its audience already understands.
