Pattaraphan introduces its Spring Summer 2027 collection with the lotus, or “bua” in Thai, as its defining motif. Founder Pattaraphan “Nok” Salirathavibhaga develops the symbol through a complete jewelry offering that draws from her Thai roots and from the women who shaped her creative practice.

The lotus emerged from Pattaraphan’s signature bone motif. While sketching two curved bones, Nok noticed that their form began to resemble traditional Thai kanok lines used to depict a lotus. She continued exploring the shape through the spiral, which first appeared in the brand’s Fall Winter 2026 collection. For SS27, that investigation develops fully into the Bua motif and gives the collection its sculptural language.
Pattaraphan previously introduced Bua through the Bua Hoop Chain Bracelet and Necklace. The Spring Summer 2027 collection extends the idea with three necklaces, three earrings and two rings.
The Bua Loy Necklace takes its name and inspiration from the traditional Thai dessert bua loy. Three lotus pendants appear to float along a fine chain, while the design introduces black rhodium plating to Pattaraphan for the first time alongside rhodium and gold finishes.
Two signet rings add another interpretation of the lotus. The Bua Signet Ring cuts the motif into the ring as negative space. The Stoned Bua Signet Ring fills the same shape with custom-cut Black Onyx, continuing Pattaraphan’s use of dark gemstones after the Ying collection. Additional SS27 designs include the Benja Bua Necklace, Bua Pendant Necklace, Tiny Bua Studs, Drop Bua Earrings and Bua Long Studs.
Family history gives the collection much of its personal context. Pattaraphan previously explored similar ideas through Ying, a series named after Nok’s grandmother. Her grandmother’s nickname means “woman” in Thai. Jewelry that women in Nok’s family passed down or gave to one another informed that earlier collection and continues to shape SS27.
“What began as a study of a spiral became, through all of this, an homage to the women in my life–though it belongs to everyone who comes after,” Nok says. The Spring Summer 2027 campaign brings that family connection directly into the imagery through Nok’s aunt Kim. Kim raised Nok, and one of her traditional Thai bracelets inspired one of Pattaraphan’s earliest collections.
For the campaign, Kim appears in her own home while preparing bua loy. Vintage Thai silk, lotus leaves from her garden and other family details surround her, connecting the jewelry with domestic rituals and memories that have influenced Pattaraphan from its early years.
Silver plays a dominant role throughout SS27, while the restrained forms keep attention on the lotus and the personal references behind each piece. Pattaraphan uses familiar objects, family traditions and everyday rituals as starting points, translating them into jewelry designed for regular wear. The Pattaraphan Spring Summer 2027 collection launches on September 5, 2026.
