Alice + Olivia presented its Spring 2027 collection during New York Fashion Week, with designer Stacey Bendet building the season around an Alice in Wonderland theme. Fantasy has long shaped the brand’s visual language, and Spring 2027 pushes that instinct further through elaborate prints, decorative surfaces and theatrical silhouettes. Bendet approached the collection through a process increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, which she uses directly while developing embroidery and print ideas. “I will literally sit and play with all the embroidery using AI myself,” she explained. “Things that used to take me back and forth with my design team for weeks, I can just go ‘I want this.’”
That experimentation shapes the collection through dense embellishment, elaborate florals and a heightened sense of fantasy. Bendet uses color, decorative surfaces and theatrical proportion to push the Alice in Wonderland theme throughout the season, creating a maximalist visual language that feels playful, polished and deliberately excessive. The collection also reflects Bendet’s interest in the transition between girlhood and womanhood, using fantasy as a way to explore femininity through scale, decoration and dress.
Bendet described Spring 2027 as “the season of the dress,” using that focus to give the collection a more overtly feminine and theatrical direction. Lace, tailoring and early-2000s references broaden the season beyond its Wonderland fantasy, while embellishment and decoration keep the overall language consistent.
Footwear also becomes a larger part of the Spring 2027 story, with the relaunch extending the collection beyond clothing into a wider expression of the brand’s playful, polished aesthetic. Color and exaggerated femininity carry through the category, keeping it closely aligned with the season’s maximalist approach.
The collection develops Alice + Olivia’s established appetite for fantasy through a season built around gardens, embellishment, dressmaking and theatrical proportion.
