Blumarine Spring Summer 2027 draws on the California ingénue, with David Koma looking to cinematic ideas of beach culture, glamour and sensuality. The sun-faded starlet becomes a reference point for the house’s feminine identity, filtered through Koma’s perspective. Dusty pastels and references to 1970s and Y2K interpretations of the Cali-girl archetype bring a lighter direction to his ongoing study of romanticism.

Daywear takes a larger role this season. Koma plays with dressed and undressed states by adapting elements associated with lounge- and sleepwear. Plumetis camisoles extend into floor-length robes, minidresses and blouses. Crepon trousers and blouses arrive with flounced details and relaxed proportions, while jersey leggings and tops gather and drape around the body with lingerie references. Bodices develop into evening dresses.
Baby-doll and peasant dresses provide another starting point. Koma expands their soft volumes across shirts, skirts and dresses made from organza and tulle. The boudoir influence continues through flounced knitted knickers, cropped sweaters and the recognizable Blumarine cardigan, here interpreted in viscose yarn with an ostrich-embroidered collar.
Texture becomes more pronounced through outerwear. Super-shiny technical satin bombers sit over bombers covered entirely in ostrich feathers and paired with oversized trousers. From there, the collection moves toward West Coast surf culture. Jersey bodies feature cutouts that recall swimwear, varsity tops carry Blumarine Since Forever slogans, and a surfer’s shearling jacket introduces a sportier direction.
Water references appear throughout the clothes. Ruching on skirts creates a foam-like effect, while transparent sequins give georgette dresses, denim trousers and cardigans a liquid surface. A long georgette dress and blouse feature a pink degradé print, adding a grungier tone to the collection’s softer elements.
Floral motifs extend the surf-inspired focus on nature. A Pacific floral pattern appears across bombers, cardigans, two-tone pastel Chantilly lace dresses and blouses, along with a sequinned tulle minidress finished with ostrich feathers. The same print covers a PVC dress, bomber and bra, bringing floral graphics into the collection’s water references.
Flowers develop further through the Anatomical Eden motif. Crepon roses sit across tulle dresses in anatomical formations, while the pattern returns as a print on tulle bodysuits. Silver metal flowers and large gems form harnesses that accompany several looks and echo these sculptural floral shapes. Round-toe heeled sandals and pumps come in satin with ostrich feathers or crystal butterfly details. Strapped versions feature large gems.
The surf theme also informs the show’s footwear collaboration with UGG. Blumarine works with the UGG Enwrap Clog from the F26 collection, creating two versions for the runway. One features a silver-galvanised cage-like metal structure covered with crystal, pink and multicolour cabochon stones. The second uses delicate ostrich feathers in natural white and light lavender, carrying the collection’s tactile focus through to its final details.
