Tommy Hilfiger presented Spring 2027 at The Plaza Hotel in New York, returning to an address with a personal connection to the designer, who once lived there with his family. The show used the hotel’s association with New York culture to frame a collection centered on modern American prep and the ways New Yorkers adapt familiar wardrobe codes to their own style.
SPRING SUMMER 2027
“For 40 years, I’ve been inspired by the style of New Yorkers – how the people of the city take the classics and make them their own,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “This season, The Plaza is our playground, where Tommy icons feel remixed and refined for today.”

The collection updated classic prep silhouettes through proportion, color and fabrication. Signature red, white and blue appeared alongside vivid yellow and green, while rugby dresses introduced color blocking and Oxford shirts featured Ithaca stripes. Tartan plaids covered blazers and Ivy jackets, bringing traditional collegiate references into the Spring 2027 wardrobe.
Hilfiger adjusted the proportions of several familiar pieces. Polos came in shrunken and oversized versions, finished with micro embroidery of the Tommy crest and raised collars referencing collegiate dressing. Chinos appeared as high-cut hot shorts in vivid colors and in longer versions that borrowed construction details from denim, including subtly twisted seams.

The Tommy Flag received a faded, washed treatment on superfine suede and silk-cashmere fabrics and also appeared on voluminous tote bags. Footwear drew from several established American categories. Rounded two-tone skate sneakers referenced the 1990s, while boat shoes, penny loafers and a leather version of the pool slide completed the collection.
The presentation brought members of Tommy Hilfiger’s F.A.M.E.S. community – Fashion, Art, Music, Entertainment and Sport – into The Plaza’s Palm Court and Terrace Room. Gigi Hadid opened the runway, while Kate Moss, Camila Cabello and JISOO attended the show. Girls’ Generation-HRS members Hyoeyeon Kim, Yuri Kwon and Sooyoung Choi joined Yosh Yu, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Arón Piper and Carmelo Anthony in the audience.

Professional basketball players Josh Hart, Karl-Anthony Towns and Miles McBride also attended, adding to the mix of fashion, entertainment and sport represented inside the hotel.
Matt Jones and the Matt Jones Orchestra provided the music, shifting from classics into a contemporary soundtrack as the runway progressed. Romeo Beckham walked the final look, wearing the collection’s polished prep with a relaxed attitude.

Slayyyter then performed “Dance” during the finale. She wore Tommy Hilfiger from head to toe, pairing red shirting with cropped shorts, a necktie and black knee-high boots. Her appearance continued the brand’s established connection between runway presentations and artists from contemporary music.
The Plaza carries a direct connection to Hilfiger’s own New York history. During the period when his family lived at the hotel, its guests, atmosphere and place within the city regularly informed him. Spring 2027 returned to that personal reference while focusing the collection on the codes that have defined Tommy Hilfiger: collegiate dressing, American sportswear, red, white and blue, and a distinctly New York approach to classic prep.
