That night, Beckham scored from a late free kick to secure England’s qualification for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The goal became one of the defining moments of his career and one of the most closely associated with the Predator line. Twenty-five years later, adidas returns to the white and red palette connected with the match for Beckham’s third signature Predator release.

The new David Beckham Predator uses a clean white base with red detailing and introduces the Trefoil logo for only the second time on a Predator. Beckham’s first co-designed special-edition boot with adidas introduced the Trefoil to the line in 2024 and sold out within 24 hours. The logo now returns as a recurring detail on his signature releases.
adidas based the new boot on its latest Predator Elite FT L-Tech concept. Premium Fusionskin leather covers the forefoot, giving the boot a soft touch while maintaining the lightweight support and technical features of the current Predator. A fold-over tongue references one of the line’s most recognizable features and arrives in red leather.

Trefoil branding continues through the upper. Repeated Trefoil logos fill the lateral and medial Three Stripes, while Beckham branding appears on the lateral heel. adidas also embroiders a Trefoil onto the fold-over tongue, extending the visual connection between Beckham’s signature line and adidas Originals.
The design draws closely from the colors Beckham wore against Greece, using white and red as the main visual reference. adidas developed the release with Beckham, continuing a partnership that has shaped several football products over the years.

Sam Handy, General Manager of adidas Football, described Beckham’s goal against Greece as a defining Predator moment, pointing to the confidence and technical execution associated with both the player and the boot. adidas developed the anniversary edition to connect that match with the current Predator platform.
Alongside the new David Beckham Predator, adidas introduces a second boot based on the model Beckham wore during the 2001 match. The remade edition returns in the same recognizable white and red color combination, giving players and collectors another link to the original release.

The two boots approach the anniversary from different directions. The new David Beckham Predator applies the 2001 color palette and Beckham-specific details to adidas’ current football technology, while the companion release returns directly to the design associated with the Greece match.
The David Beckham Predator and its companion Predator Precision Remade are available from October 6 through selected adidas retail stores and adidas.com/football.
