Paying attention to personal style is crucial because it’s a healthy way to express yourself and show people what you stand for. And of course, to boost confidence so that you may take on the day, and its challenges, in your stride.

Whether you are style-conscious but feel as though your wardrobe isn’t reflecting this. Or you want some inspiration on how to create a style that’s right for you going forward. Here are five fashion resolutions all style-conscious men can manifest.

  1. Experiment With New Styles

Our looks, personality, and commitments change with time, as such, our style should too. What might have been the perfect outfit for 18-year-old you, may no longer reflect or enhance your current body and characteristics.

So be open to researching, observing styles, and experimenting with new looks to see what else could work for you and make you feel like your best self.

For example, perhaps, your confidence in your body and personality has skyrocketed with age, and so for leisure and home wear, you may want to express that with bold Rockstar short sets for lounging in.

  1. Don’t Just Buy Clothes, Invest

Changing your outlook from fleetingly purchasing clothes to creating a thoughtful investment in pieces, is crucial because it ensures you think long-term about how well these clothes will and can serve you.

So, examine the fit and the materials, the reviews, and where you would and could wear it before the cost.

Because while purchasing a cheap top, that looks okay, may be an alright choice for now. But if it’s not reflecting who you are as a person, making you feel uncomfortable and unsure, and loses its shape after a few washes – it’s worthless.

As such, think about spending, or investing rather, a bit more in your wardrobe and luxury materials that will stand the test of time and make you feel awesome!

  1. The Capsule Wardrobe

Buying a mass of clothes echoing current trends won’t guarantee style for anyone. So, be meticulous about what you buy and focus on a color scheme and key pieces that can be tied and restyled with different looks.

In doing so you’ll avoid the prospect of recycling bundles of clothing in months to come. And will only buy clothes you love, need, and will wear like a white button-down shirt or a pair of men’s straight leg denim pants.

Moreover, a quest to own less is better for the environment

  1. Clothes for the Occasion

While testing out new looks, it helps to think about who you are as a person.

For instance, are you conscious of the environment? Are you emotional or possess masculine qualities? Are you creative, fun, and laid back? Or ambitious and driven? Perhaps you’re an amalgamation of these things depending on what time of day it is and where you are.

Your style is a form of self-expression that needs to indicate who you are and your uniqueness at given locations – such as at home, the workplace, your friend’s house, or on a date.

  1. Accessorise

A few thoughtful accessories can add pizazz to an otherwise ordinary ensemble. As you would with clothes, try on new accessories such as jewelry, sunglasses, hats, and scarfs – and be honest with yourself about what fits your look and current wardrobe.

For instance, a pop of color from a scarf over a muted outfit to keep you warm but also reveal your fashion sense, paired with a timeless leather strapped watch, could add something special to your look.

For indicators, an outfit or look works for you, think about how you feel when you are physically in the clothes and take note of your thoughts when you look in the mirror.

Do you feel confident and impressed? Have you instantly improved your posture? Are you satisfied with the clothes revealing your toned physique?

Pay attention to your thought process and feelings, to avoid buying clothes for the sake of it.

Moreover, to keep your stylish clothes thriving, take great care of your wardrobe. You can do this by washing items infrequently and at a low temperature. Hanging clothing up where possible. And keeping them covered in a closet or drawers, to protect them from dust and moths!
