The recent collaboration between Studio Hagel and Adidas has brought an artistic twist to the iconic Adidas Samba sneakers. This unique partnership has resulted in the creation of the Studio Hagel x Adidas Samba “Napkin” series, which features four prototypes inspired by hand-embroidered napkins. These designs are characterized by their delicate uppers, adorned with fabric sprinkled with blossoms and trimmed with piping, reminiscent of dainty handkerchiefs.

Studio Hagel, an Amsterdam-based concept studio, is known for its boundary-pushing designs in footwear, as demonstrated in their past work with major footwear brands and their in-house footwear line launched in 2022. This collaboration with Adidas represents a fresh and imaginative take on the Samba silhouette. The quartet of Sambas, each with unique colorways and designs, reflects a blend of baroque influences and contemporary style.
