Burberry returns to its home city with “Back to the City,” a film and portrait series that captures the sights, sounds, and people of London. Chief creative officer Daniel Lee describes the project as a guided tour, focusing on the city’s skyline, notable buildings, and the residents who define its character.

The film traces the route of a well-known open-top red bus tour, moving from the National Gallery to the London Eye and on to Trafalgar Square. This path presents London in constant motion, framed through its most recognizable landmarks. Photographer and filmmaker Angelo Pennetta directs the visuals, with director of photography Errol Rainey shaping the film’s perspective.

The cast combines talent from music, social media, and fashion. Musician Jimothy Lacoste created an exclusive soundtrack for the project, bringing a custom audio layer to the visual story. TikTok’s Bus Aunty, Bemi Orojuogun, joins the campaign after gaining a wide following for her videos posing with the city’s iconic red double-decker buses. Models Nora Attal, Rubuen Bilan-Carroll, and Libby Bennett complete the lineup, each adding a distinct presence that reflects London’s range of personalities. Lee notes that the individuality of the city’s residents plays a central role in what makes London unique, and that quality runs through Burberry’s identity.

The Fall 2025 collection features throughout the project, placed against instantly recognizable London views. The Fitzrovia trenchcoat stands out as a new UK-crafted design, featuring a double-breasted button closure, throat latch, epaulettes, a B buckle belt, and side button welt pockets. It appears alongside pieces that balance functional design with refined tailoring. A floaty capelet, a field jacket, and a leather bomber jacket reference archival elements, while tailoring comes in wool and cashmere. The Burberry Check appears in silk blend trousers, denim jeans, and wool kilts, carrying the brand’s signature pattern into different textures.

Accessories receive equal attention. The Strand bag takes inspiration from classic quilted shapes. The Highlands family returns in updated forms, including a relaxed shoulder bag in smooth leather with an embossed Knight stamp and a bowling bag in coated check. The Cotswolds tote incorporates trench-inspired hardware, extending Burberry’s design language into its leather goods.

Footwear adds variety to the collection. Cavalier boots draw from equestrian influences, while loafers range from the heeled Cadet with a Knight stamp plaque to the chunky-soled Rogue. The Matrix sneaker introduces a sport-oriented design, contrasting with the more structured leather options.

“Back to the City” positions the Fall 2025 collection within the rhythm of London life. Through its route, cast, and clothing, the project connects Burberry’s design direction to the streets and people of the capital, presenting a view of the brand rooted in the place it calls home.
