Jordan Brand will release the Women’s Jordan Trunner Rare Air on August 23, 2025, priced at $135 and identified by SKU IM6531-001. Available in full women’s sizing, the model will be offered through Nike’s launch platform and select retail partners.
This Rare Air edition revives the Trunner with a concept that treats early sample flaws as design fuel. The theme embraces mismatched textures and intentional material switches that call back to the quirky details collectors love from factory tryouts. Designers lower the collar for easier movement and pair breathable knits with durable canvas and synthetic leather for balanced structure. The forefoot strap lets you dial in the fit on the fly. Underfoot, a chunky foam midsole handles cushioning and gives the trainer its confident stance.

Reinforced panels cover high-wear zones, while the forefoot strap and supportive upper structure secure the midfoot. The outsole features a textured tread pattern designed for grip during varied movements, suitable for training and casual athletic use.
The Trunner series has been part of Jordan’s performance lineup since the late 1990s, introduced as a versatile training option that could handle gym work, agility drills, and recovery days. Signature features have included supportive straps, cushioning designed for cross-training impact, and materials aimed at balancing breathability with durability. Over time, the line has evolved into modern versions like the Trunner LX, with lighter fabrics, refined strap systems, and updated proportions. The Rare Air release builds on that legacy, incorporating visual references to the trial-and-error process behind memorable prototypes.

Performance-focused updates shape this model. The reduced collar height supports ankle mobility for lateral drills, while the forefoot strap offers rapid adjustments between exercises. The foam midsole absorbs landing impact during jumps and sprints, maintaining consistency over extended wear. Interior padding and a smooth lining reduce friction, supporting comfort during repetitive movements.
The pair features mismatched reflective forefoot straps, one red and one green, secured over a black mesh forefoot and a white quilted midfoot panel. An off-white midsole rides above a speckled rubber outsole. Branding details include a Jumpman patch on the tongue pull, a blue tab with the Jordan wordmark beneath each strap, a Jordan print on the lateral support band, and a circular heel badge with a Jumpman over an orange disc.
