Beats Partners with BLACKPINK’s Jennie for a Special Release

The collaboration features a special edition of the Beats Solo 4 headphones that references Jennie's debut studio album, Ruby.

Beats has collaborated once again with global K-pop artist, BLACKPINK‘s Jennie. This new partnership follows their previous project, which featured a special pair of red Beats Solo Buds. Now, the two have teamed up to release a new special edition of the Beats Solo 4 headphones. Jennie serves as the central figure for the brand in this new campaign, and the design of the headphones references her debut studio album, Ruby. The collaboration presents a significant next step for their work together, giving fans a new product that connects directly to her music.

The new special edition headphones have a matte red finish. They also feature specific “R” and “J” details and an UltraPlush ear cushion with an embellished design. The headphones come with an attachable red ribbon bow and arrive in special red-branded packaging. The design, with its monochromatic matte red base and special details, gives fans a product that reflects the singer’s personal style and artistic direction. The ear cushions feature symbols that were inspired by the artist, providing a custom feel. The addition of the red ribbon bow also makes the headphones a ready accessory for personal style.

Jennie spoke about her connection to the brand in a press release, offering insight into the creative process. She stated, “Beats has been part of my everyday life and creative process, so collaborating with them in this way feels very special. I’m excited for people to experience my music in a new way through these headphones.” Her words show a personal connection to the product and give fans a sense of her involvement in the project. This release allows people to connect with her art not just by listening, but by using a product she personally helped create.

Their first collaboration was one of the brand’s most successful campaigns from the previous year, and this new project continues that productive partnership. This new product provides customers with a special version of the wireless Solo 4 model. The headphones’ red color scheme pays direct homage to her album Ruby, which she released in March. That album includes hit songs such as “Like Jennie” and “Mantra,” and the headphones provide a new way to listen to that music.

The JENNIE x Beats Special-Edition Beats Solo 4 will be available on September 5. Customers will be able to buy them at select Apple stores in various locations, including Japan, South Korea, China, the U.K., and the U.S. They will also be available at Best Buy in the U.S. and on Coupang in South Korea on the same day. The product, priced at $199.99, gives fans a tangible item from the partnership. In addition to the product, Beats will also host a series of in-store experiences in Los Angeles, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Seoul. These events will offer a curated playlist from Jennie, allowing customers to engage directly with her musical tastes.
