
Nike and Martine Rose reunite for another chapter in their boundary-pushing partnership with the 2025 Nike x Martine Rose Sport collection, a line that celebrates gamers as the athletes of a modern, digital arena. The collection reframes sport through the lens of gaming, a space defined by focus, creativity, and precision rather than physical competition, exploring how identity and performance translate across worlds both real and virtual.

Rooted in Nike’s athletic heritage and informed by gaming culture, the collection offers apparel that balances comfort, function, and self-expression. The pieces include football kits, hoodies, shorts, and fleece pants, alongside a standout water-repellent ski parka inspired by a 1990s ACG archive design. Every item feels engineered for the “connected athlete,” someone who moves between the screen and the street, wired into both competition and culture. Accessories such as a versatile cross-body bag extend that mobility, merging practical design with the energy of the esports stage.

At the center of the collaboration sits a reworked version of Martine’s signature Shox MR4. The new iteration stretches the proportions of the original Nike Shox R4 into a mule silhouette, complete with a squared-off toe and raised heel. It’s both a performance shoe and a statement of attitude, part gaming slipper, part runway object.
“Gaming is a new lens into how we view sport,” says Martine Rose. “I’ve always been interested in finding the corners of mainstream culture and shining a light on them through fashion. This collaboration with Nike offers a unique opportunity to do that in a way that feels authentic to gamers and their communities.”

The campaign reflects that ethos with cinematic imagery inspired by 1990s LAN parties and vintage Nike ads. Elite gamers, including Ana, Billy Mitchell, Scarlett, SonicFox, and TenZ, become digital-era athletes, their intensity and skill reframed with the grandeur once reserved for traditional sports icons. The message, “Skill over status. Individuality over conformity. Expression over everything,” runs through both the visuals and the garments themselves.

After eight years of collaboration, Nike and Martine Rose continue to meet at the edges of convention, challenging what sportwear can signify. The Nike x Martine Rose Sport collection references gaming culture and positions it as a legitimate, expressive arena of human performance.
