Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance present their latest collaboration with a second interpretation of the Made in UK 991. The project expands beyond footwear into a compact apparel offering that references performance boating and the sharp visual codes of 1990s marine culture. The pieces form a cohesive release that balances technical intent with considered design choices, maintaining a clear throughline from shoe to garment.
The footwear offering centers on two distinct 991 colorways titled “Celery” and “Chocolate.” Each pair applies a specific material and color strategy while retaining the recognizable structure of the Made in UK model. The “Celery” version uses a grey mesh base layered with red leather underlays. Olive-green and brown suede overlays add depth across the upper, creating a controlled contrast that reads clearly across panels and textures.

The “Chocolate” colorway shifts the focus toward richer tones and sharper contrasts. Built on a white leather base, the shoe incorporates red leather underlays and dark brown suede overlays. Black detailing along the midsole introduces a firm visual anchor, giving the pair a more graphic finish. First introduced through the brand’s Fall Winter 25 lookbook, this version presents a more structured interpretation of the 991 while staying aligned with the overall direction of the collaboration.

Apparel extends the concept through functional silhouettes and material choices connected to life on the water. Nylon Sailing Jackets and matching Pants lead the offering, designed around utility and weather awareness. These pieces appear in Aura Orange and Jet Black, two high-contrast tones that reinforce the collection’s marine references. The nylon construction signals performance intent while keeping the silhouettes direct and purposeful.
Fleece Half Zip Pullovers add a softer layer to the lineup, continuing the same color direction. These pieces introduce warmth and practicality without shifting away from the collection’s core visual language. Knitwear follows with slub knit Rugby shirts and open-stitch Signal Crewneck Sweaters.

The release unfolds through a campaign film set along the Oslo Fjord, tracing a nautical route between Norway and Sweden. The film documents a journey shaped by cold conditions and open water, placing the collection in an environment that mirrors its functional intent.
The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 991 capsule collection is available now at Aimé Leon Dore flagship locations and through the brand’s webstore.
