BACKSTAGE
The evening opened with live music by Nashville-based band Calico Mantra. Their performance shaped the tone of the presentation and infused the venue with a charged energy. The collection emerged within a setting that fused Art Deco mysticism with baroque glam rock. The result created a universe defined by incandescent myths, cosmic dancers, and nocturnal romance.

Collection Twenty-Two marks the latest evolution of Cucculelli Shaheen’s ongoing dialogue between craftsmanship, music, and storytelling. Founders Anna Rose Shaheen and Anthony Cucculelli shaped the presentation around layered references. The collection draws from mystic sunsets, smoke-filled salles fumeurs, Josiah McElheny’s Island Universe, cosmic ballrooms, and lilies of the night. These elements informed both surface and silhouette.
CUCCULELLI SHAHEEN FW26 LOOKS + INTERVIEW
Electric Cosmos examines dualities between darkness and illumination, structure and sensuality. The garments feature intricate embroideries, lily cabochons, and sculptural detailing throughout. Designers integrated detachable elements to introduce transformation within individual looks. Fluid silhouettes interact with these structural components, reinforcing the collection’s thematic contrast.

Embroidery functions as a key visual language. Lily motifs appear as cabochons, anchoring references to nocturnal florals. Sculptural embellishments articulate the cosmic framework suggested in the collection title. Each element contributes to the broader aesthetic of myth and celestial narrative. The balance between structure and fluidity underscores the tension explored throughout the lineup.
Calico Mantra’s live performance sustained the atmosphere during the show. The band’s presence amplified the synergy between music and fashion that defines the brand’s identity. The presentation reflected the creative vision of Anna Rose Shaheen and Anthony Cucculelli, where sound and garment coexist within a shared environment.

By staging Electric Cosmos at Bowery Ballroom, Cucculelli Shaheen reinforced its connection to performance and narrative. The collection extends the brand’s exploration of mysticism, craftsmanship, and musical influence within the framework of New York Fashion Week.
