Mithridate Fall Winter 2026 opens along the River Thames, where a wandering figure searches, finds, and gathers the elements of a new life. Wild flowers rise from the river bed as possibility turns into direction. Encounters shape a wardrobe defined by movement and settlement. Daniel Fletcher builds the season around the idea of arrival, reflecting Mithridate’s path between its Guangzhou origins and its present home in London.
FALL WINTER 2026
The narrative draws strength from a historical link between the two cities. In the 1800s, John Reeves transported the first wisteria plant from Guangzhou to Europe. The plant continues to grow along the Thames in Chiswick. A replica stands in the Tate Britain showspace, extending that shared history into the present. Fletcher views this migration as parallel to Mithridate’s own transition, with roots that now extend into London soil while remaining grounded in China.

“That journey of the Chinese wisteria planting long-lasting roots in England feels emblematic of my own journey with Mithridate,” says Fletcher. “The roots of the brand have now firmly established itself in its new London home. The textiles are richer, more established, and the brogues I designed for the first collection have been broken in, so to speak. I’ve found confidence in what we are doing and a rhythm between China and London that feels right.”
British references shape the framework of the collection. Tweed forms broad-shouldered coats layered over tailoring. A revised pea coat introduces a naval note. Knitted detachable collars bring a sporting dimension, while collegiate tones punctuate the palette with clarity. Numbers, now a Mithridate motif, appear as diamante brooches and jewelry.

Aran sweaters and Fair Isle jumpers, with origins in Scotland and Ireland, anchor the lineup. Fletcher pairs them with appliqué and printed skirts, establishing a recognizable tension between traditional knit structures and decorative surfaces.
The brand’s relocation to Borough informs specific motifs. The studio sits near Borough Market and London Bridge, where trade and history intersect daily. Green glass bottle prints reference objects found in market surroundings. Florals draw from wild blooms along the Thames, introducing bursts of color into an urban setting. Enlarged merchant-style labels appear in abstract placements, turning utilitarian graphics into focal elements.

Black-tie looks carry a sensual charge, then shift into adaptable forms. Two-piece mini dress constructions reinterpret formal dressing. Duffle coats enter the equation with maritime references, connecting outerwear to the river narrative.
A hand-beaded overcoat produces a moiré effect through surface manipulation. Boxy cashmere tailoring carries a light dusting that suggests snow. Metal hardware punctuates the looks, from layered icon belts worn in and under garments to bracelets and necklaces inspired by watch straps favored by city workers.
Fall Winter 2026 marks Fletcher’s third runway collection for Mithridate. He unites British sartorial codes with the expertise of the Chinese atelier to shape a wardrobe rooted in relocation and resolve.
