Takashi Murakami introduces a new direction for Ohana Hatake with the launch of the Ohana Full-Bloom “Multicolor” Collection. This release marks the first time the brand’s signature silhouette appears in a multi-color format. Murakami draws from his established approach to color, bringing forward vivid combinations that connect directly to his wider artistic practice. The collection sets the tone for a broader series of colorways that will continue to unfold throughout the season.
SHOES
The design takes direct reference from Murakami’s well-known flower motif plush pillows, using them as a foundation for color development. The first multicolor release, titled Multicolor Collection 1, builds its identity through layered graphic compositions. Three distinct versions define this drop: Yellow/White/Yellow, Pink/White/Yellow, and Black/White/Black.
Construction plays a central role in the update. The shoe uses lightweight EVA foam, selected for durability and flexibility. A softer footbed increases cushioning, supporting extended wear across different settings. The outsole focuses on traction, designed to improve grip and stability.

The water-friendly structure allows the shoe to adapt to different environments, while its surface supports easy cleaning. This practicality aligns with the overall direction of the brand, which prioritizes wearability alongside visual identity.
The Ohana Full-Bloom “Multicolor” Collection will retail at $130 and launches on Wednesday, April 22, available exclusively through Ohana Hatake website. This release introduces a new phase for the silhouette, setting a foundation for further variations that will expand on the same approach to color and construction.
