DSCENE Magazine features model Teo Abihdana, represented by Success Models, as one of the cover stars of its Design Under Pressure issue, lensed by fashion photographer Moïse Mbarga-Abega. The cover story, titled The Island Holds Still, was captured on Lanzarote, the Spanish island and easternmost of the Canary Islands. Juan Areizaga led art direction, with styling by Sanya Batra, grooming by Jaime Hernandez, and casting by Fernando Herbert. For the cover, Abihdana wears a Songzio jacket paired with a Loro Piana vest and Issey Miyake Man pants.

Design Under Pressure looks at the strain placed on creative work when attention never really stops. The issue turns toward the pressure to keep producing, to stay visible, to answer expectation, and to protect the part of the work that still belongs to the person making it. It asks how creative people continue when public attention becomes part of the process, and what happens to beauty, discipline, and imagination under that kind of demand.
The issue carries that question through different fields, from fashion and film to design and public life, with each cover story giving pressure a different shape. In The Island Holds Still, the theme moves away from speed and into stillness. Teo Abihdana’s story takes place on Lanzarote, where the island’s volcanic terrain creates a slower visual response to the tension behind the issue.
Against this backdrop, light falls without urgency, flattening distance until horizon and ground feel like variations of the same surface. The body becomes less a figure than a measure of how quiet space can become when nothing demands movement.
