Doublet Spring Summer 2027, A Day in the Life, follows the rhythm of an ordinary day. A person wakes up, gets dressed, leaves home, works, meets someone, eats, returns, and sleeps. Nothing dramatic happens. That simplicity gives the collection its focus, as Doublet imagines the future through clothing worn without second thought. For DSCENE Magazine, photographer Sohom Das documented the backstage environment through a series of exclusive images.

The collection looks at how unfamiliar materials may one day feel normal. Cotton, polyester, and nylon appear on labels today, while air, wood, carbon, banana, marine resources, and agricultural waste may appear with the same ease in the future. Doublet places these possibilities inside daily dressing rather than presenting them as spectacle.

For Spring Summer 2027, the brand brings together materials explored across recent seasons and gives them everyday purpose. Carbon dioxide from the air, discarded clothing, plants, wood, sea resources, and waste all become part of a wardrobe built for routine.

Founded in 2012 by Masayuki Ino, Doublet continues its idea of “strangest comfort.” A Day in the Life imagines a future where strange materials have already become familiar. Discover backstage moments from the collection in our gallery below.
