JENNIE took the stage at Summer Sonic 2026 in Tokyo wearing custom Calvin Klein Collection, with denim providing the foundation for two looks created specifically for her festival appearance. The singer performed at the Tokyo edition on August 14, where Calvin Klein dressed her in designs that drew from its denim and underwear vocabulary as well as its archive.

The most unconventional look transformed a familiar part of a pair of jeans into an entire dress. Calvin Klein constructed an apron-style minidress from upcycled denim waistbands, layering different washes to create its fitted, abbreviated shape. Rows of belt loops remained visible throughout the design, turning functional denim details into its primary decorative element.
JENNIE paired the minidress with a white Calvin Klein Collection bra underneath and added an archival leather belt. The combination kept denim as the focus while bringing several recognizable Calvin Klein codes into one stage look. The varying shades of blue gave the stacked waistbands greater definition.
The denim minidress formed part of a wider custom wardrobe Calvin Klein created for JENNIE’s Summer Sonic appearance. Her other look referenced the house’s Spring Summer 1993 runway, specifically an outfit originally modeled by Kate Moss. For JENNIE, Calvin Klein recreated the combination with oversized denim jeans styled backward, a matching boxy denim vest, black underwear and a sports bralette.
She completed that outfit with a black Calvin Klein beret, an archival leather belt featuring a Calvin Klein Jeans buckle and a layered necklace from the Fall Winter 2026 collection. Rather than reproducing the 1993 look without adjustment, the custom version connected its original proportions and styling references with JENNIE’s performance wardrobe.
The collaboration also continues JENNIE’s established relationship with Calvin Klein. She first appeared in campaigns for the company in 2021 and later worked with the label on her own capsule collection, released in 2023. That collection included denim, underwear and wardrobe staples influenced by pieces she regularly wore herself. For Summer Sonic, that relationship produced something far more specific to the stage. The upcycled waistband minidress took an overlooked component of everyday denim and made it the defining feature of JENNIE’s custom Calvin Klein look.
