Diesel introduces a suede edition of the D-LINE shoulder bag in collaboration with Mumbai-based designer Diya Joukani. Following her previous appearance with the D-ONE, Joukani returns to explore another design from the brand’s accessories collection. The latest interpretation focuses on soft textures, a rich chestnut colour and a compact silhouette that reflects her approach to personal style.

Joukani works across design and image-making, developing a visual identity through instinct, experimentation and unexpected influences. Her creative practice informs the way she approaches fashion, where individual pieces become part of a larger personal expression. For the D-LINE, she brings this perspective to a design that already carries recognisable Diesel details, placing the bag within her own wardrobe and creative environment.
The latest D-LINE introduces suede to the bag’s familiar hobo silhouette, giving its compact shape a softer appearance. The material establishes the character of this edition, with a velvety surface that emphasises the bag’s curved form. A chestnut shade adds warmth to the design, drawing attention to the natural qualities of the leather.

Diesel uses a drum-dyeing process to achieve a deep, consistent colour throughout the suede. The brand then applies a waxed finish, which brings additional depth to the surface and introduces a subtle sheen. These treatments give the material its particular texture and appearance, allowing the suede to define the overall design.
The shoulder strap references one of Diesel’s most recognisable accessories, the Oval D belt. The brand adapts the belt buckle into a streamlined D-shaped element, using gold-tone brass to create a distinct hardware detail against the chestnut suede. This reference connects the D-LINE with Diesel’s wider design vocabulary while giving the shoulder bag a recognisable visual feature. The gold-tone hardware introduces a metallic accent that works with the warm colour and textured surface of the leather.
For the opening, Diesel incorporates two concealed magnets that secure the top of the bag. An internal zipped pocket provides storage for smaller essentials, keeping the interior organised without altering the compact exterior.

The suede edition joins a seasonal D-LINE selection that also includes premium leather versions in black and brown, alongside a denim option. Each material changes the appearance of the same underlying silhouette, allowing the design to take on different textures and finishes. Leather gives the D-LINE another surface treatment, while denim connects the bag with a material closely associated with Diesel. The suede version introduces a softer texture and chestnut colour, extending the choices available within the collection.
Joukani presents the D-LINE as part of an individual approach to dressing. Her work across fashion, design and image-making informs the collaboration, connecting Diesel’s accessories with her interest in experimentation and personal expression.
