Berlin- based label and the eponymous designer Ewa Herzog presented their A/W 2016 creations “Collection No.8” on the 21st of January 2016, the third show day of Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week Berlin. Sophisticated, sensual, smooth.
This graceful collection could be seen as a celebration of femininity, the use of lace underlined this character. Moreover unique pattern and embroidered materials played a key role. The fabric- choice was utterly delicate, consisting of silk, velvet, crépe de Chine including wool crépe. Completely charming!

Ewa Herzogs’ favourite color choice were more restrained, endlessly elegant hues, for instance dark nude, gainsboro, taupe, ecru, rose and various shades of blue. Supplementary to that classy colour palette, diamond black and rich gold gave some pieces a sophisticated approach. Many of her creations were kept tone on tone. Worth of mentioning is also the fact she creatively played with various lengths, whereas her cuts were kept rather clean. Various of her creations were focused on the waist, one of our favourit cuts were A-lines that could be noted in umpteen of the collections’ skirts and dresses. Her flattering evening dresses reminded us of contemporary cinderellas.
The make- up and haistyle of the models reminded us of porcelain dolls, with focus on rosewood lips. The hair was worn backcombed, slightly wavy and open, with net hairbands as accessoires over the models’ faces.
We will definitely keep an eye on Ewa Herzog and on all upcoming collections!
