Grand Collection staged its FW25 show in the Chelsea Gallery District, presenting its See Now/Buy Now format and unveiling its first collaboration with New Balance. The New York label, long connected to the city’s skate and creative community, used the runway to showcase both its upcoming collection and the collaborative capsule, which will arrive later this year.
The atmosphere of the evening reflected the collective that surrounds Grand. Friends of the brand filled the runway lineup, with skaters, designers, artists, photographers, and musicians stepping into the spotlight. Among them were Dede Lovelace, Kim Shui, Lil Polo Tee, Nolan Zangas, Spencer Hamilton, and Diego Najera. The audience included familiar names such as Evan Mock, ASAP Ferg, Carlisle Aikens, and Christina Paik.

Founder Ben Oleynik described the motivation behind staging the runway. He noted that few labels from their background attempt runway presentations, and he wanted to place friends who rarely walk in shows into that setting. For Oleynik, the format brings another dimension to the clothing, encouraging the audience to view Grand through a lens that challenges conventional definitions of importance within fashion. The show provided a stage for the brand to confront perceptions about what labels tied to skate and downtown culture can achieve.
The centerpiece of the night was the debut of Grand’s collaboration with New Balance. The project takes an original tennis shoe from the 1980s and reworks it into an all-leather skate shoe, available in both black and white. To accompany the sneaker, Grand created a matching velour tracksuit. The full capsule spans nine items, including a polar fleece wind shirt, a heavyweight cotton sweatsuit, and a co-branded T-shirt. By reworking a classic model into a premium skate shoe and tying it to apparel, the collaboration bridges Grand’s sportswear roots with New Balance’s archival design.

The FW25 collection itself carried Grand’s sharp minimalism into new categories. Pieces included a reversible wool pinstripe jacket, a colorblocked tricot knit tracksuit, polar fleece outerwear, and virgin wool shirting paired with coordinating bottoms. The offering also featured knitwear crafted from 100 percent cotton, reflecting the label’s commitment to fabric quality while keeping to its refined style.
Grand Collection scheduled immediate availability for the FW25 collection, which dropped globally on August 16 through select fashion boutiques, skate shops, and its online store. The Grand x New Balance capsule will follow with a worldwide launch on October 9.
