ISSEY MIYAKE presented Spring Summer 2017 collection named Microcosm during the recently wrapped up Paris Fashion Week. Designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae is always searching for new techniques, and this season he presented Cut & Stick – that enables sticking together two different materials.
The show started with sack dresses with large trapezoid shapes in different colors, and continues with the graphic patterns of geometric forms in black, navy, nude and white, as well as tribal-like prints. The highlights of the show were jackets and dresses made of concentric squares creating 3-dimensional dynamic forms, which become the mainstay for Issey Miyake.
