Discover FERRARI CONCEPT’s Autumn Winter 2017/18 Collection designed by Erik Raynal. Playing with symbols of speed freedom and the expression of luxury, the collection reflects and elevates the vision of  technical excellence, combined with a unique sleek aesthetic.

FALL WINTER 2017/18 COLLECTIONS

Twisting Formula 1 codes with a gender-bending vision, these ambisexual garments rework classical cuts into experimental, intricately tailored designs. Opposites attract throughout the collection: straight cut blazers in classical suiting material harmoniously collide into gas pants in shiny gabardine; asymmetrical, hyper feminine dresses rub shoulder with boyfriend jeans and velvet pleated pants. The logo ‘Rush’ is sprinkled over the designs, as a reference to race-car aesthetics. The collection redefine luxury, turns it into a synonymous of minimalist unisex designs with a high-end sportswear sensibility, in lavish materials with customized details. – from Ferrari Concept

The brand’s sleek and powerful cars have long been synonymous with luxury and speed. But with the debut of the Ferrari Concept Autumn Winter 2017 2018 womenswear collection, the Italian powerhouse has embarked on an exhilarating new journey, bringing its signature elegance to the world of fashion. Under the creative direction of the visionary Erik Raynal, this collection was a masterpiece that seamlessly merged the worlds of automotive design and haute couture.

Erik Raynal, the brilliant creative director behind the Ferrari Concept brand, is no stranger to the world of high fashion. Born in Paris, Raynal’s passion for design was ignited at an early age. His innate talent and relentless pursuit of innovation led him to study at the prestigious Institut Français de la Mode, where he honed his skills and refined his creative vision. Raynal’s previous work with leading fashion houses showcased his ability to seamlessly blend artistry, craftsmanship, and cutting-edge design. His appointment as creative director of Ferrari Concept was a match made in heaven, and the Autumn Winter 2017 2018 collection proved to be a testament to his remarkable talent.

The collection itself was a symphony of elegance and power. Drawing inspiration from Ferrari’s iconic cars, Raynal expertly translated the brand’s DNA into a stunning array of womenswear. The color palette mirrored the sleek sophistication of the vehicles, with deep reds, metallic silvers, and timeless blacks dominating the runway. The fabrics chosen were equally exquisite, with luxurious leathers, sumptuous silks, and intricate lace embellishments adding a touch of opulence.

Raynal’s attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the collection. From the meticulously tailored coats to the intricately constructed dresses, each garment was a work of art. The outerwear, in particular, showcased Raynal’s mastery of craftsmanship. Sleek lines, architectural shapes, and unexpected details, such as asymmetrical closures and oversized lapels, created a sense of drama and allure. The precision with which each piece was crafted was a testament to Raynal’s commitment to perfection.

The collection also celebrated the female form, with form-fitting silhouettes and strategic cut-outs that accentuated curves and created a sense of sensuality. Raynal’s ability to balance strength and femininity was truly remarkable. His designs exuded power and confidence, while still maintaining an air of elegance and grace.

The incorporation of Ferrari’s iconic branding was another stroke of genius by Raynal. The prancing horse logo, a symbol of speed and excellence, was seamlessly integrated into the designs, adding a touch of authenticity and reinforcing the collection’s connection to the automotive heritage of the brand. Belts, handbags, and accessories adorned with the emblem created a cohesive visual narrative, solidifying the brand’s identity within the fashion realm.

While the Ferrari Concept Autumn Winter 2017 2018 womenswear collection was undeniably breathtaking, it is important to note that it was not without its moments of experimentation. Some of the more avant-garde pieces, with their exaggerated proportions and unconventional cuts, may have been less accessible for everyday wear. However, it is precisely this audacity and fearlessness in pushing boundaries that sets Raynal and Ferrari Concept apart.

In conclusion, the Ferrari Concept Autumn Winter 2017 2018 womenswear collection was a tour de force of elegance and innovation. Erik Raynal’s creative direction showcased his remarkable talent and ability to seamlessly blend the worlds of fashion and automotive design. The collection was a testament to Ferrari’s legacy of excellence and served as a reminder that true luxury extends beyond the confines of the road. Raynal’s exceptional biography and previous work have undoubtedly contributed to his success, and his collaboration with Ferrari Concept will surely be remembered as a defining moment in fashion history.
