Designer Sarah Burton unveiled ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Spring Summer 2022 Collection, that was inspired by the sky and it’s ever-changing magnificence. The collection explores the spirit of storm chasing, it brings a sense of mystery and excitement, and it embraces the unpredictable. With the SS22 Collection, McQueen is celebrating being at one with a world that is bigger and more powerful than any of us. The collection was presented on October 12th, in a cloud-like show space designed by Smiljan Radic at a rooftop in the East London.
SPRING SUMMER 2022 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
The artwork for the prints in this collection was shot from the rooftops of the studio where we are lucky enough to have the most incredible views of the city: from Saint Paul’s Cathedral to the London Eye. We watched the weather and captured the formation and colouration of clouds from daybreak to nightfall and documented changing patterns, from clear blue skies to more turbulent ones. – Sarah Burton
