Fashion Brand ANNA SUI presented their Fall Winter 2022.23 Collection, that fuses Sixties Mod with 20s Deco and 80s Nuwave, on February 16th, as part of the recently finished New York Fashion Week. The collection was inspired by a British rock show from the 60s named “Ready, Steady, Go!” and the style of its host the “IT” girl, Cathy McGowan.
Fashion photographer Richie Davis captured the lookbook featuring models Cristina Piccone, Eden Joi, Evie Harris, Liam Little, Meadow Walker, and Sherry Shi. Beauty is work of hair stylist Garren for R + Co BLEU, and Pat McGrath Labs makeup artists. Video direction by Jeannie Sui Wonders.
“There’s Deco neckties with schoolgirl dresses; paillettes to party in; coats with matching miniskirts in knit, tweed, granny crocheted squares. Fun faux fur comes in zebra and shaggy; genderless vibrant power plaid blazers mixed with two-tone Nuwave sweaters and black patent pants are punked out with belts, badges, and pop jewellery; topped off with balaclavas, creepers and après ski boots! And James Coviello’s famous doggy backpacks are back in new shades of tangerine dream & purple haze together with introducing lion backpacks in black! There’s plenty more here for a Friday night including everything you might throw in, high and lo, to make a proper outfit — all to the tune of “Ready, Steady, Go!” by Generation X!” – from Anna Sui
The legendary New York fashion designer presented thirty-eight new looks for the Fall Winter 2022 season. Despite the ease of covid restrictions Anna Sui and her team have once again opted for a digital presentation. The designer presented the new collection only with the short film and a digital lookbook. Anna Sui has announced she is ready to return to the runway for the coming season, yet that depends on the circumstances.
