Fashion brand NO SESSO presented their Fall Winter 2022.23 Collection, that pays tribute to Black opulence and honors the journey of Black womanhood through innocence, sensuality, perseverance, and awakening, on February 16th, during the recently finished New York Fashion Week. The Girls With Dolphin Earrings collection was inspired by the love songs, and the way how they can be interpreted as the love of God or love of another person, it explores the duality of the songs. Designers Pia Davis and Autumn Randolph celebrate the culture, traditions, and experiences of Black womanhood and femininity. The protagonist of this story is symbolized by a pair of dolphin earrings. The earrings represent Black culture and any Black girl who wears them feels empowered, sexy, and special. The collection also explores the duality between religion and sexuality. Brown is the key color of the collection.

“Fabrics this season include denim-printed leather, brown houndstooth calfskin, fine wools and silks. Looks from the collection heavily feature bondage and lingerie elements. If the earrings represent a certain place in time, models tied into intricate corsets and silk gowns represent confidence. Look 36 shows a long winter down coat fused with a pinstripe blazer. Look 20 mixes a sheer bustier with dripping jeweled chains. Look 2 is a patchwork puffer made of reworked materials. Look 42 is a show stopping formal draped gown with an exaggerated train with jewels dripping down the model’s bodies. Looks 15 and 21 featured new outwear pieces from a collaboration with Japanese brand Tatras, available now. “The Girls With Dolphin Earrings” collection also debuts a much anticipated collaboration with Levi’s, which will be available for purchase in late April 2022.
