Come on Barbie, let’s go party! Warner Bros has just unveiled the first official trailer for the highly anticipated “Barbie” movie, based on the eponymous fashion doll line by Mattel. Starring Margot Robbie in the leading role and Ryan Gosling, as Barbie’s boyfriend Ken, the movie is set to premiere in theaters on July 21, 2023.

Robbie and Gosling are joined by the star-studded cast, including Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, Connor Swindells, Will Ferrell, Michael Cera, Issa Rae, Hari Nef, and Kingsley Ben-Adir. The movie is directed by Greta Gerwig (“Lady Bird”, “Little Women”), who co-wrote the screenplay with Noah Baumbach.
Barbie movie is the franchise’s first live-action film after a number of computer-animated films. The production started earlier this year in London and wrapped in July, while the first-look photo was revealed at Warner Bros presentation at CinemaCon 2022, seeing Barbie and Ken sitting behind the wheel of her iconic pink 1965 Chevrolet Corvette.
The movie and it’s aesthetics made a huge impact on the fashion industry this summer, with the raise of Barbiecore trend that took over the industry and celebrity style set.
