A few months back, during Miami Race Week, Travis Scott was spotted wearing an unreleased Nike Attack pair. Recently, this footwear caught the spotlight again, thanks to the leaked photos of the model by sneaker insider profiles on social media.
Following the surfacing of yet another leaked sneaker image last week, Nike has officially unveiled Travis Scott’s interpretation of the Attack silhouette.
The Nike Mac Attack’s revival has been in the works since early 2021. Both LeBron James and Travis Scott were seen donning vintage versions of John McEnroe’s iconic 1984 model, hinting at the model’s comeback.
Afterwards, during the Miami Race Week events, Scott showcased the Mac Attack in its original grey and black palette, distinguished by the iconic reversed Swoosh – a signature mark of his collaborations with Nike and Air Jordan.
Earlier in March, a joint preview by Nike and Social Status revealed three tear-away color variations of the esteemed 1984 tennis footwear. It wasn’t certain if the Houston-based rapper is adding his unique flair to the Mac Attack design, and the fans were left wondering if this is an official collaboration slated for release this year.
The Travis Scott x Nike Mac Attack design resonates with the classic gray and black shades, reminiscent of the original version. However, the distinct touch comes from Scott’s iconic reversed Swoosh—a design trait frequently seen in his previous collaborations with both Nike and Air Jordan. The sneaker also seems to feature a mesh-leather combo, coupled with a checkerboard tongue tag. Completing the look, the footwear boasts a pristine white midsole and a gray rubber base., while the “Cactus Jack” insignia can be found on the back of the sneaker.
The release is now anticipated for December 2, available through Nike SNKRS and select retail outlets.
